Chef Derek was born in Penang, Malaysia. He started working in the catering industry at the age of 17, and at the age of 23 he was already a sous chef at the Penang Star Club, handling administrative management. At the age of 29, he worked as a chief executive chef at the Red Rock Hotel Penang. In 2014, Derek moved to Hong Kong and opened a small shop " Nyonya Coming " in Sai Ying Pun and Tsuen Wan successively, which was very popular among diners.
In recent years, he has participated in many television programs, including VIU TV " Colin's Exotic Recipes " and "Cooking Girls", teaching cooking and sharing experience.
Derek will teach you different Nyonya menus each month.
